Chinese Water Systems Volume 4 Applied Water Management in China Terrestrial Environmental Sciences: A Need to Study and Understand the Process of Technology Evolution As we delve into the fourth volume of the Chinese Water Systems series, we are presented with a comprehensive overview of the latest Sino-German research efforts in the field of applied water management in China. The book addresses the urgent need to study and understand the process of technology evolution, particularly in the context of developing a personal paradigm for perceiving the technological process of developing modern knowledge. This is crucial for the survival of humanity and the unification of people in a warring state. The Major Water Program, supported by German research funding, aims to restore polluted water environments and ensure sustainable management of water resources in China. The joint BMBFCLIENT project, SINOWATER, focuses on three of the most severely polluted Chinese waters - the Liao River, the Dian Lake, and Tailake - in the metropolises of Shenyang, Kunming, and Suzhou respectively. The project was conducted by the Research Institute for Water and Waste Management at RWTH Aachen University, in collaboration with the German companies Martin Membrane Systems AG, Steinhardt GmbH, Wassertechnik, GuHong JTelektronik, bluemetric, Huawang Water EVU Group, and i+f process GmbH, along with the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, Tongji University, and the Dianchi Lake Management Authorities.
